Trillium Hill farm includes a 1 acre market garden producing nutrient dense, high value crops for farmstand, CSA, restaurant, and grocery store sales.  Growing techniques are Certified Organic.  Nearly no till, almost no spray.
 

Market Garden Assistant
Ideal candidate would be able to work the following days/ times/ hours.  Other schedules considered for the right person.
 
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and a few hours on Saturday and/ or Sunday
Hours: 8am – 4 pm.  Unpaid lunch break
Season: Help needed End of April- End of November

On Mondays and Thursdays, the Market Garden Assistant will help with harvesting, cleaning, and packaging vegetables for CSA, farm stand, and restaurant customers.  Work on Tuesdays and Fridays involves all aspects of garden maintenance including seeding, transplanting, cultivating, weeding, etc. 
The ideal candidate would be available to work at least an hour or two on Saturday and/or Sunday during peak farmstand season (mid June-mid Sept). 
The work can be uncomfortable because of; heat, cold, physical exertion, and repetitive motions.  Work will go on regardless of weather. 
 
Market Garden Assistant may be asked to learn cattle chores, but work will not regularly include animal chores.
 
Pay:  depends on experience/ demonstrated ability: $11+/ hr
 
Benefits:  1. CSA share  
2. Discount on non THF farmstand items (30% off).  
3. Bonus of $.50/ hr worked, if employee works all agreed upon hours through end of season.

 Additional Needs:
May be looking for additional help with:  delivery, Instagram, event planning, farmstand, email marketing, cooking  for events, hoop house  and other construction projects?
Winter:  May be looking to hire for 10- 20 hours per week?
